By GlobalDataLundin and partners designed the Edvard Grieg platform as a field centre to facilitate processing of oil and gas from nearby fields.
The platform already processes hydrocarbons from the Ivar Aasen field. The contract will enable the platform to be able to handle Luno II and Rolvsnes.
The company will develop Luno II, which is located 19km south of Edvard Grieg, as a subsea installation.
Lundin also stated that preparations will be made for additional satellite fields.
In a separate development, WorleyParsons has secured a contract from Tidewater Midstream and Infrastructure to provide fabrication and construction services for the Pipestone sour gas plant in Canada.
