Oilfield services provider Petrofac has secured two operations and maintenance (O&M) contract extensions in the North Sea.
The two contract renewals, received by the company’s Engineering and Production Services (EPS) business, have a combined value of around $32m.
Under the first contract extension, Petrofac will provide O&M support to Total E&P UK’s Alwyn and Dunbar platforms in the Northern North Sea for an additional 12 months. Petrofac has been providing operations and maintenance services to these assets for 14 years.
Another contract involves a similar 12-month extension where the oilfield services firm will continue to provide offshore and onshore O&M support to a major international oil company’s (IOC) offshore platform in the Central North Sea.
The contract works will be managed by Petrofac’s 24/7 Operations Hub, which is responsible for the company’s labour supply contracts.
Petrofac’s Engineering and Production Services business managing director Nick Shorten said: “These contract renewals reflect the strength and collaborative nature of our long-standing relationships with both IOCs and are testament to the knowledge our teams have gained our clients’ assets.
