Petrobras has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with TGS, an energy data and intelligence provider, to enhance scientific research and technological development in Brazil’s energy sector.
The partnership will combine the expertise and resources of both entities to drive innovation in oil and gas exploration, production efficiency, renewable energy and carbon capture technologies.
The companies will focus on creating technological solutions to improve exploration and production operations.
Both companies will engage in scientific research to deepen the understanding of Brazil’s sedimentary basins through analysis of geological and geophysical data.
A key aspect of this collaboration is the emphasis on sustainability, with the development of technologies that align with international efforts to reduce carbon emissions.
The MOU sets the stage for establishing joint working groups and initiating research and development projects in the near future.
