Energy services company Oceaneering International’s UK subsidiary has secured multiple North Sea vessel contracts for a range of offshore services.
The contracts, awarded by various operators in the UK sector of the North Sea, encompass decommissioning, inspection, subsea preparation and installation support services.

Oceaneering did not disclose the identities of the operators and financial value of the contract.
These contracts signify a combined duration of an estimated 65 days, with options to extend further.
The commencement of these operations is scheduled for August 2024 and will be conducted leveraging the MSV Island Frontier, a vessel with a history of operations in West Africa and the Black Sea.
Oceaneering said it has extended the charter of Island Frontier until December 2025, ensuring that the vessel’s capacity is available to meet the requirements of its clients.

This hub is strategically positioned to manage the company’s activities in the North Sea.

Earlier in the month, Oceaneering International’s Norwegian subsidiary was awarded a contract by Aker BP for inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) support services.
This initial three-year IMR agreement also includes options for two additional two-year extensions, highlighting the potential for long-term collaboration.
Furthermore, Oceaneering’s Integrity Management and Digital Solutions segment recently secured a contract to develop a maintenance strategy for a floating production, storage and offloading vessel set for offshore Brazil.
Managed from Rio de Janeiro, the project aims to enhance the vessel’s performance and reliability over a two-year period, with a focus on establishing an asset management philosophy and spare part strategy.
