Woodside has awarded a front end engineering and design (FEED) contract to Wood Group Kenny (WGK) for its Greater Western Flank Phase 2 (GWF-2) development of the North West Shelf (NWS) project, offshore Western Australia.
WGK will provide engineering and procurement support services for the 16in GWF-2 corrosion-resistant alloy rigid flowline system, flowline end termination structures, inline tee assembly structures, mid-connection structure and subsea tie-in spools.
The company will develop the flowline system prior to the final investment decision, planned to be announced in the second half of this year.
The GWF-2 development is part of the next phase of gas supply to the current NWS project infrastructure, following the Persephone project.
GWF-2 will develop the hydrocarbon resources of the Keast, Dockrell, Sculptor, Rankin, Lady Nora and Pemberton fields.
Wood Group Kenny Australia regional director Mark Linton said: "The award of the GWF-2 FEED contract continues the relationship that Wood Group Kenny has built with Woodside on previous projects including Pluto, Angel and the Trunkline System Expansion Project.
