VARD has delivered the Stril Barents gas-fuelled platform supply vessel (PSV) to Simon Møkster Shipping.
The PSV will start operations for Eni at the Goliat field in the Barents Sea, offshore Norway.
A VARD 1 06 design, Stril Barents features combined platform supply and emergency response capabilities.
The ten-year contract is due to start in February 2015.
Goliat, which is currently under construction at the Hyundai yard in South Korea, will be the first cylindrical, floating production platform on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
The Goliat facility will be installed at the Goliat field, 85km north-west of Hammerfest. Eni Norge operates the Goliat field with a 65% stake. Statoil owns the remaining interest.

By GlobalDataThe field is located in production licence 229 in the Barents Sea, north of Russia and Norway. It contains approximately 174 million barrels of oil and eight billion standard cubic metres of gas.
The licence, which was originally awarded in the Barents Sea in 1997, was initiated in order to increase interest in the area as an oil and gas region.
Goliat has two separate main reservoirs, the Kobbe and Realgrunnen, and features oil with an overlying gas cap.
The Realgrunnen reservoir is located 1,000m below sea level, while Kobbe is 1,800m below.
Goliat is expected to be in production for around 15 years, though this could be extended with new discoveries.
