Technip has secured a pipeline installation contract from Woodside Energy for the Greater Western Flank phase one project located 130km northwest of Karratha in Western Australia.
The pipeline will link the Goodwyn and Tidepole fields through a subsea tie-back to the existing Goodwyn A (GWA) platform.
Technip will be responsible for the load-out, transportation and installation of 16km of a 16-inch gas flow line from the Tidepole manifold to the GWA platform. The company said the project represents the next major development for the Woodside-operated northwest shelf project.
The contract will be executed by the company’s operating centre in Perth, Australia, with support from the Singapore office.
Offshore installation will be carried out by the Global 1200 or the Global 1201, two flagship vessels that joined Technip’s fleet through the recent acquisition of Global Industries. France-based Technip is a provider of project management, engineering and construction services for the oil and gas industry.
