Seatronics has signed an agreement to provide its global customer base with access to Norwegian subsea tooling firm LateraL’s FlexiCal product line.
The remotely operated vehicle (ROV) mounted caliper FlexiCal allows for direct measurements from point-to-point with real-time readout.
Seatronics group managing director Phil Middleton said: "In this tight market, where there is a focus on asset integrity, Seatronics’ customers are demanding technology that will provide reliable, repeatable data, quickly.
"LateraL has several other innovative products, which we plan to bring to a wider market within this partnership."
FlexiCal provides measurements that are taken without the need for post-processing. Clients can use them to make decisions relating to their assets.
Used for measuring wear as well as corrosion on mooring chains, the caliper also performs well on flanges, plates, structures and various other subsea assets.
