Tank servicing alliance

UK-based tank storage provider Motherwell Bridge has teamed up with project management company PROjEN to offer a complete suite of tank storage services from concept to handover.

The partnership will enable the company to provide process design, engineering and management services for new-build or remedial tank works without the need for separate project managers.

According to Motherwell Bridge, the move will combine its expertise in in-house design, refurbishment and new build on large diameter tanks with the project management and multi-disciplined engineering expertise of UK-based PROjEN.

Professional services firm PROjEN operates within the process industry across a number of sectors, including oil and gas, biotechnology, food and drink, healthcare, waste and water treatment, energy, and manufacturing.

Motherwell Bridge CEO Russell Ward said: "By working together with PROjEN we can each add value for our clients by offering a suite of services from one source.

"Motherwell Bridge’s alliance with PROjEN offers bespoke services from any stage of the tank building process – including repair and maintenance – with one point of contact and accountability."

The alliance between the two companies also brings a collaborative approach that emphasises forward planning, scope definition and risk management. It is expected to help Motherwell achieve its goal of increasing turnover to £100m by 2015.

PROjEN managing director Martin Seabrook said: "This collaboration allows PROjEN to demonstrate its prowess in project management and multidiscipline design engineering in the UK process industry.

"Working alongside Motherwell Bridge, we can offer practical implementation of the recent industry standards including UKPIA gap analysis, an ALARP approach, DSEAR/ATEX, LOPA, SIL and functional safety."
