Russian oil company Lukoil has completed construction and commissioning of the fifth production well at Vladimir Filanovsky offshore field in the Caspian Sea. 

Simultaneously, the company started construction of the sixth well, which will be used for water injection.

The horizontal length of the fifth well's main bore is 1,429m, while the length of its sidetrack is 1,612m. With a bilateral horizontal design, it has increased the field's daily production with more than 14,000t of oil. 

Lukoil performs the works in a bid to achieve the well's design operating conditions. 

The company completed construction of these facilities under Phase 2 field development in accordance with the plan.
