

Gazprom, Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk and its general contractor NIPIgas have selected Linde Group as the licenser for cryogenic gas separation technology at the Amur Gas Processing Plant (Amur GPP) in Russia.
Under the scope of the work, Linde will engineer and supply units for ethane and natural gas liquids (NGL) extraction and nitrogen rejection.
The company will also provide units for helium purification, liquefaction and storage.
Amur GPP is part of Gazprom’s project to supply gas from Russia to China through the ‘Power of Siberia’ pipeline from eastern Siberian gas fields.
The plant will be built in five phases and would conclude in 2024.
Under phase one, two ethane and NGL extraction and nitrogen rejection units, as well as a helium production unit will be added.

By GlobalDataUpon completion, Amur GPP will have a capacity of up to 49 billion cubic metres of natural gas per year.
Recently, Gazprom and Linde signed an agreement to jointly carry out existing and future projects related to the natural gas value chain.
Linde CEO Dr Wolfgang Büchele said: "Not only will Amur GPP be one of the largest natural gas processing plants in the world, Linde is looking forward to cooperating on projects and technologies which will support Gazprom in its efforts to better market natural gas and its by-products."
Services to be provided under the agreement will include process technologies, engineering and services related to the treatment and liquefaction of natural gas.
Other services include localisation of the respective equipment production in Russia.
The Amur GPP will also include a helium production block with the annual output of up to 60 million cubic metres.
Gazprom Pererabotka and NIPIgas signed an agreement in July 2015 to form a partnership on designing, coordinating equipment and material supplies as well as managing the construction of the plant.
