Russian energy companies Gazprom Neft and Lukoil have submitted plans to the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) to develop oil fields in Iran.

Under its proposed plan, Gazprom intends to develop Changouleh and Cheshmeh Khosh fields.

The development plan was discussed during a meeting held between Iran Deputy Minister of Oil at international affairs Amir Hossein Zamaninia and Gazpromneft senior management.

Located 80km north-west of Dehloran city, the Changuleh oil field is situated at the north-west part of the North Dezful basin in the Lorestan province.

In December last year, Gazprom signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NIOC to conduct a study for the fields, according to Reuters.
