On-shore natural gas producer Parnaíba Gás Natural (PGN) has awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract worth $100m to a consortium for a natural gas field development project in the state of Maranhão, Brazil.
The consortium includes Fluor’s Brazil unit, Construcap CCPS Engenharia e Comércio and CFPS Engenharia e Projetos (CFPS).
US based Fluor will book its share of the contract value in the second quarter this year.
Scope of work in the project includes development of a 8.5 million-cubic-meters-per-day gas gathering system in the Gavião Branco field.
The consortium will also be responsible for setting up a gas pipeline to enable transportation to an existing production and treatment centre at the Gavião Real field.
Another contract for the initial engineering and design work of the project had been awarded to the consortium earlier this year.
