Bibby Offshore

BP has awarded a contract to Bibby Offshore to replace subsea infrastructure in the central North Sea, UK.

Under the contract, Bibby will provide dive support and construction support vessels from its global fleet for BP’s $1bn Eastern Trough Area Project (ETAP) Life Extension Project. Work under the project will start in April 2016.

ETAP consists of nine oil and gas reservoirs.

Six of the fields, the Marnock, Mungo, Monan, Machar, Mirren and Madoes are operated by BP, with Shell operating the remaining three of the Heron, Egret and Skua.

BP’s ETAP Life Extension Project will ensure that the fields continue to operate beyond 2030.
