American industrial company Baker Hughes has introduced its FieldPulse model-based, predictive analytics software.

The new software facilitates operators to maximise their production across entire fields by providing them with an accurate and real-time understanding of an asset’s performance.

Baker Hughes reservoir development services vice president Martin Brudy said: "When operators can predict and mitigate problems that jeopardise production, they can manage their assets to meet their maximum potential and deliver the highest return on investment.

"The FieldPulse software gives operators that capability, helping them to understand in real time how a field is performing, identify and target wells with the highest production potential and manage the asset accordingly."

The software can easily integrate as well as interpret large volumes of production data, well test data and well models from a wide range of sources.

FieldPulse can then, through automatic common petroleum engineering calculations, help recognise and rank underperforming wells.

Performance indicators are monitored continuously, as well as warnings and alerts are provided to assist operators to make decisions related to the remediation of underperforming wells.

FieldPulse collects information generated from existing production and completion databases.

Operators can use this data to avoid investing in new gauges, sensors or databases.

The software is incorporated with a built-in nodal engine that facilitates real-time integration between field data and well models without the need for any other well modelling software.

It can be used in upgraded collaboration rooms, in real-time operations centres, on touch-enabled laptops, tablet devices, as well as on traditional laptops and desktops.
