A2SEA has awarded an engineering consultancy services contract to marine and engineering consultancy firm Aqualis Offshore for installation work at the Horns Rev 3 wind farm offshore Denmark.
Under the contract, Aqualis Offshore will provide structural site assessments at the wind farm, where A2SEA’s Sea Installer jack-up vessel will be installing 49 MHI Vestas 8.3MW wind turbines.
The London-based office of Aqualis Offshore will be working on this project.
The contract value has not been disclosed by either company.
Aqualis Offshore chief executive officer David Wells said: “We have recently supported A2SEA and its vessel SEA INSTALLER with similar scope of work at the Race Bank and the Burbo Bank Extension offshore wind farm in the UK.
“The A2SEA installation team is very knowledgeable and experienced, so we are very pleased that they would like our support in Denmark too.”
