Engineering and project management firm AMEC has selected CloudApps, a provider of sustainability software, to deploy its sustainable solution across its 40 international operations globally.
The firm will provide its CloudApps Sustainability Suite and its advanced employee engagement solution SuMo to achieve the AMEC’s target.
AMEC is aiming for a reduction of 15% in carbon emissions in 2013 against a 2008 baseline, followed by 40% decrease by 2020 and 60% by 2030.
CloudApps CEO Peter Grant said: "AMEC’s management vision on sustainability and its stewardship of precious natural resources has led the oil industry since the turn of the decade. AMEC typifies the sort of environmentally-aware leaders, which has fired up the CloudApps team since our inception."
The CloudApps solution is built on the cloud computing platform and delivered by CRM solution provider salesforce.com. CloudApps solution provides carbon and energy reporting, adding no additional footprint; customers can also measure water, waste and corporate social, as well as economic metrics.
AMEC provides services to customers such as BP, Shell, the US Navy and EDF, which range from environmental and front-end engineering design work to decommissioning assets.
