Aker Solutions has secured a brownfield modifications services and maintenance support contract from Shell for the Nyhamna and Draugen facilities in Norway.
The contract carries a period of four years and can be extended by up to seven.
Aker Solutions CEO Luis Araujo said: “We're delighted that Shell has once again selected Aker Solutions to be its main contractor for these assets and we look forward to building on our past work together to ensure the continued success of these projects.”
The contract covers the offshore Draugen oil platform and the onshore Nyhamna natural gas processing plant in Aukra, which is connected to the Ormen Lange field in the Norwegian Sea.
Earlier, Aker Solutions was contracted to provide equipment and services to these assets.
The new contract will involve Aker Solutions' west coast operations, particularly its Kristiansund division.
