KOIL Energy Solutions has secured a contract to supply multi-quick connector (MQC) plates for a subsea project in the Gulf of America.

The equipment is designed to control high-pressure systems for a subsea field operated by a US independent energy company.

The MQC plates are essential for distributing hydraulic control fluid, regulating oil and gas production and supporting flow assurance requirements through chemical injections.

KOIL Energy is recognised for delivering high-performance subsea systems worldwide, leveraging practical design solutions and a vertically integrated supply chain.

The project scope includes engineering, procurement, fabrication, assembly and testing, all to be conducted at KOIL’s manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas.

The final delivery is slated for the fourth quarter of this year.

KOIL Energy president and CEO Erik Wiik said: “This award is particularly exciting for several reasons. Firstly, it represents a repeat order from a valued client, showcasing their continued trust in our capabilities.

“Secondly, it features our advanced 20,000psi [pounds per square inch] technology, highlighting our commitment to innovation. Lastly, as the MQC is a cornerstone product within the subsea controls segment, this achievement paves the way for further growth.”

Recently, KOIL Energy Solutions was awarded a supply contract for electrical and hydraulic distribution manifolds for a West African oil and gas project, with completion expected in December 2024.

These manifolds are vital for distributing power and managing resource flow through the subsea infrastructure.

The project involves engineering, procurement, fabrication, assembly and testing of the manifolds and ancillary equipment. Delivery is scheduled for the latter half of 2025.

Upon completion, the manifolds will be transported to the project site in West Africa.
