US-based oil field service company Halliburton has signed an agreement to provide a Cloud-based master data management solution for Spanish energy firm Repsol’s exploration and production (E&P) activities.
As part of the multi-year agreement, Halliburton will provide software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution for Repsol’s activities.
According to Halliburton, SaaS enables users to load, ingest, manage and access log, well and other E&P data throughout various locations in Repsol’s asset portfolio.
The solution will be executed by Repsol for simultaneous access and management across ten global locations during the first year of the contract. Additional locations will follow.
Landmark and Halliburton digital solutions senior vice-president Nagaraj Srinivasan said: “The Cloud simplifies and lowers the cost of managing information across the well lifecycle and DecisionSpace 365 Data Foundation provides true collaboration by making the same data available in context at the right time.
“We look forward to working with Repsol to deliver a data management solution using the Cloud that maximises the value of their assets.”

As exploration and production challenges intensify, operators are required to generate insights for improving performance from the available data, Halliburton said.
Effective management of E&P data through a comprehensive Cloud solution drives communication, accuracy and consistency, and will allow operators to make better informed decisions.
Earlier this month, PTTEP selected Halliburton for the joint development of new well design workflow to automate drilling and completion engineering processes across the well lifecycle.
Last June, Halliburton introduced its advanced BaraOmni solids control and separation system to help operators reduce costs.
