Downhole Technology and Resource Well Completion Technologies have agreed to combine their businesses, which will be owned by Schoeller-Bleckmann Oilfield Equipment.

The merger is due to take place on 1 October and the combined businesses will operate under The WellBoss Company.

Downhole Technology manufactures composite frac plugs used in plug-and-perf multi-zone fracturing operations.

Resource Well Completion Technologies develops a range of completion, well construction, multi-stage stimulation, and well servicing products.

Downhole Technology president Jeff McNamara will serve as president for The WellBoss Company after the merger has been finalised.

Resource Well Completion Technologies president Colin Atkinson will be executive vice-president of global sales for The WellBoss Company and remain president of the newly formed company’s Canadian subsidiary.
