C-Innovation (C-I), an affiliate of Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO) and its family of companies, has won a three-year contract from an energy investor in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico known as BP Exploration & Production (BP).
C-I will provide subsea construction, inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) and logistics services in the Gulf of Mexico as part of the latest deal.
The company noted that Port Fourchon in Louisiana is serving as the home port for the development.
The deal is expected to integrate ECO’s extensive fleet of multipurpose platform supply and well intervention vessels with C-I’s ROV, tooling, project management and engineering services.
Works outlined under the initiative include jumper and subsea tree installations, underwater facility inspections in lieu of dry-docking, the commissioning of new assets and general field support operations.
C-I Subsea Division manager David Sheetz said: “This is a very large and significant contract for C-I and it helps solidify our reputation as a true, single source for subsea solutions with the backing and support of the diverse family of companies within the ECO group.
