BP Trinidad & Tobago (bpTT) has awarded a contract to McDermott International to provide services for its third platform, Cassia C Compression, which is located 57km southeast off the coast of Trinidad.
Under the terms of the contract, McDermott will provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services.
The company will also be responsible for hook-up and commissioning of the 8,928t Cassia C topsides, a 3,747t jacket and a 793t bridge to link the platform with the existing Cassia B platform.
McDermott will also carry out Brownfield modifications at Cassia B, which is situated in a water depth of 223ft.
The company will fabricate and construct the compression platform at its facility in Altamira, Mexico.
The jacket and the bridge landing frame will be fabricated by Trinidad Offshore Fabrication Company.

McDermott’s offices in Houston, Chennai and Dubai will provide engineering services.
Earlier this year, McDermott completed a detailed engineering and long lead procurement services contract for Cassia C platform.
The company also completed the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) contract of the Angelin project for bpTT.
Cassia C will receive 1.2 billion standard cubic feet per day (BSCFD) of hydrocarbon gas through new piping from Cassia B across the bridge.
After compressing in three gas turbine driven compressors, the gas will be returned to Cassia B for export.
According to McDermott, the contract value ranges from $250m to $500m.
