Wildling is a conventional oil development located in deepwater in the US and is operated by BHP Billiton Petroleum (GOM). Discovered in 2017, Wildling lies in block Green Canyon 520, with water depth of around 4,156 feet.

The project is currently in feasibility stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2025. Final investment decision (FID) of the project will be approved in 2023.

Production from Wildling

Production from the Wildling conventional oil development project is expected to begin in 2025 and is forecast to peak in 2028, to approximately 22,563 bpd of crude oil and condensate and 9 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2078.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 142.96 Mmboe, comprised of 134.03 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 53.55 bcf of natural gas reserves.
