South Malak is a conventional oil development located onshore Egypt and is operated by National Petroleum Company Egypt. Discovered in 2015, South Malak lies in block West Esh El Mallaha Development Lease.
The project is currently in commissioning stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2022. The South Malak conventional oil development will involve the drilling of approximately three wells.

Production from South Malak
Production from the South Malak conventional oil development project is expected to begin in 2022 and is forecast to peak in 2024, to approximately 2,300 bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2055.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 8.78 Mmboe, comprised of 8.78 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate.
