Oil and gas contracts in Africa registered a decrease of 19% in October 2021 with 22 contracts, when compared with 27 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
The activity marked a decrease of 19%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 27 contracts.
Contract award activity in Africa during October 2021
Looking at contracts by country, Angola led the activity in October 2021 with four contracts representing an 18% share of all the oil and gas contracts, followed by South Africa and Gabon with two contracts and a 9% share each. It saw an increase of 33% over the previous month’s total of three contracts and a flat growth when compared with the last 12 month-average four contracts in Angola.
Based on 12-month moving average, Egypt took the top spot with five contracts, followed by Angola and Nigeria with four contracts each.
