Lucapa is a conventional oil development located in deepwater in Angola and is operated by Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Ltd CABGOC. Discovered in 2007, Lucapa lies in block Block 14 and Block 14 Lucapa Development Area, with water depth of around 3,936 feet.
The project is currently in feed stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2024. The Lucapa conventional oil development will involve the drilling of approximately 17 wells and includes subsea tree.

The field is owned by Sonangol EP, Sociedade Petrolifera Angolana, Eni, Galp Energia SGPS and Chevron.
Production from Lucapa
Production from the Lucapa conventional oil development project is expected to begin in 2024 and is forecast to peak in 2025, to approximately 79,224 bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2051.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 304.66 Mmboe, comprised of 304.66 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate.
