Harmattan Deep is a conventional gas development located in shallow water in Egypt and is operated by BG Egypt. Discovered in 2012, Harmattan Deep lies in block El Burg Development Lease, with water depth of around 102 feet.
The project is currently in approval stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2024. The Harmattan Deep conventional gas development will involve the drilling of approximately one wells.

Production from Harmattan Deep
Production from the Harmattan Deep conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2024 and is forecast to peak in 2025, to approximately 150 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2046.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 62.92 Mmboe, comprised of 377.49 bcf of natural gas reserves.
