The Gadiaga conventional gas field recovered 98.55% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2013. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2028. The field currently accounts for approximately 100% of the country’s daily output.

Africa Fortesa Corp is engaged in gas production and sold for domestic power generation. The company also formed Africa Onshore Drilling S.A., a drilling company which currently owns onshore drilling rig in the country. The company and Petrosen also engaged in Production Sharing Agreement with the Government of Senegal to explore hydrocarbon reserves in the 1,145km²Tamna permit to the east of Dakar.
