A total of 14 contracts were registered in the downstream segment of North America during the quarter, when compared with the last four-quarter moving average of 18 contracts.
In terms of the number of contracts in North America, the upstream segment contributed the most with 254 contracts in Q1 2022, followed by midstream and downstream segments with 40 and 14 contracts, respectively.

Looking at the total oil and gas contracts by country in the downstream segment of North America, the US led the activity in Q1 2022 with 11 contracts and a 79% share. It saw a decrease of 8% over the previous quarter’s total of 12 contracts and a decrease of 15% when compared with the last four-quarter-average of 13 contracts in the US.
