Netherlands oil & gas industry registered a 6.7% rise in IT hiring activity in December 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 2.99% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021.

Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.41% share in December 2021, recording an increase of 0.41% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Netherlands oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Netherlands oil & gas industry in December 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 61.29% in December 2021, registering a 26.67% growth over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 16.13% share, an increase of 66.67% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 9.68%, registering a 50% rise from November 2021.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 6.45%, flat growth over the previous month.

Top five oil & gas companies in Netherlands IT recruitment activity in December 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 90% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Netherlands oil & gas industry during December 2021 over November 2021.

Akzo Nobel posted 6 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a rise of 20% over the previous month, followed by Koch Industries with 5 jobs and a 400% growth. Baker Hughes with 4 IT jobs and Covestro with 2 jobs, recorded a 33.33% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while LyondellBasell Industries recorded an increase of 100% with 2 job postings during December 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in December 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 74.19%, up by 9.52% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with a 16.13% share, registered an increase of 150% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.68% share, up 50% over November 2021.
