Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.97% share in April 2022, recording a decrease of 0.07% over the last three-month average share.

Shell posted 11 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 450% over the previous month, followed by Akzo Nobel with 8 jobs and a flat growth. LyondellBasell Industries with 4 IT jobs and SBM Offshore with 4 jobs, recorded a 42.86% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Yara International recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.35%, up by 64.71% from March 2022. Entry Level positions with an 8.82% share, registered a decline of 40% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 5.88% share, flat growth over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2.94%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
