The industry’s overall hiring increased by 10.39% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.23% share in April 2022, recording an increase of 0.23% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 78.26% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s oil & gas industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
TotalEnergies posted 19 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 72.73% over the previous month, followed by Air Liquide with 13 jobs and a 62.5% growth. Arkema with 5 IT jobs and Roquette Freres with 2 jobs, recorded a 66.67% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Syngenta recorded an increase of 100% with 2 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 74%, up by 19.35% from March 2022. Entry Level positions with a 16% share, registered an increase of 166.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 8% share, up 300% over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
