North America was the fastest growing region for cybersecurity hiring among offshore industry companies in the three months ending September.
The number of roles in North America made up 34.2 per cent of total cybersecurity jobs – up from 28.3 per cent in the same quarter last year.
That was followed by South & Central America, which saw a 1.1 year-on-year percentage point change in cybersecurity roles.
The figures are compiled by GlobalData, who track the number of new job postings from key companies in various sectors over time. Using textual analysis, these job advertisements are then classified thematically.

The fastest growing country was the United States, which saw 25 per cent of all cybersecurity job adverts in the three months ending June last year, increasing to 27.9 per cent in the three months ending September this year.
That was followed by Mexico (up 2.3 percentage points), Singapore (up 1.7), and India (up 1.4).
The top country for cybersecurity roles in the offshore industry is India which saw 29.5 per cent of all roles in the three months ending September.
Which cities are the biggest hubs for cybersecurity workers in the offshore industry?
Some 7.7 per cent of all offshore industry cybersecurity roles were advertised in Mumbai (India) in the three months ending September - more than any other city.
That was followed by Bengaluru (India) with 7.7 per cent, Houston (United States) with 4.1 per cent, and Singapore (Singapore) with 3.8 per cent.
