The value marked an increase of 403.4% over the previous quarter and a rise of 47.8% when compared with the last four-quarter average of $621.06m.

North America held a 92.35% share of the global oil & gas industry venture financing deal value that totalled $993.93m in Q1 2021. With a 92.35% share and deals worth $917.92m, the US was the top country in North America’s venture financing deal value across oil & gas industry.

In terms of deal activity, North America recorded 55 deals during Q1 2021, marking an increase of 48.65% over the previous quarter and a drop of 3.08% over the last four-quarter average. The US recorded 55 deals during the month.
