The largest producers of natural gas in Oman are Government of Oman, Shell and BP. Government of Oman was the largest producer of natural gas in 2023 with output up by 7% on 2022.

Shell was the second-largest producer, with output up by 53%, and BP was third with a decrease of 2% on the previous year.

There are seven natural gas producing fields in Oman of which one are located offshore and the rest onshore. The Al Wusta has the majority of the natural gas fields in the country with two.
