Netherlands-based company Royal Dutch Shell’s IT hiring declined 15.7% in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 3.54% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 16.86% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 5.34% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Royal Dutch Shell IT hiring in August 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Royal Dutch Shell, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 61.11% in August 2021, and a 10.2% drop over July 2021, while Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a share of 18.06% in August 2021, and registered flat growth. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 8.33% in August 2021, a 25% drop from July 2021.

Europe stood next with 11.11%, registering a 100% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 2.78% share and a 60% drop over July 2021.
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with an 83.33% share in August 2021, a 7.69% decline over July 2021. Poland featured next with a 9.72% share, up 75% over the previous month. Canada recorded a 2.78% share, a decline of 50% compared with July 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Royal Dutch Shell IT hiring activity in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.5%, down by 16.67% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 34.72% share, a growth of 31.58% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 2.78% share, down 50% over July 2021.
