US-based company Exxon Mobil’s IT hiring rose 9.7% in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 16.4% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 27.08% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 0.81% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Exxon Mobil IT hiring in August 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Exxon Mobil, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 61.82% in August 2021, and a 3.68% drop over July 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 13.18% in August 2021, and registered a decline of 11.36%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 12.5% in August 2021, a 2.78% rise from July 2021.

South & Central America emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 42.57% share, which marked a 3.28% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 21.28%, registering a 5.97% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with an 18.92% share and a 40% rise over July 2021.
In the fourth place was North America with a share of 17.23% and a month-on-month decline of 37.04%.
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 27.7% share in August 2021, a 1.2% decline over July 2021. US featured next with a 15.54% share, down 42.5% over the previous month. Hungary recorded a 14.86% share, an increase of 12.82% compared with July 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Exxon Mobil IT hiring activity in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75%, up by 0.91% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 17.57% share, a decline of 30.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.43% share, up 46.67% over July 2021.
