Oceaneering has secured the contract to supply the first-ever 20,000 psi-rated subsea hydraulic junction plates and associated hardware for Chevron’s Anchor field development in the Gulf of Mexico.
Anchor is a deepwater oil and gas field being developed in the Green Canyon area of the Gulf of Mexico, the US.

The contract has been awarded by Schlumberger company OneSubsea.
Under the contract, Oceaneering will undertake the design, engineering as well as production of the hydraulic connection hardware.
It will also oversee the design and engineering of integrated flying lead assemblies and installation equipment.
OneSubsea Plant Supply Chain manager Sebastian Hennings said: “The Chevron Anchor project – awarded under the 20-year subsea master services agreement for the Gulf of Mexico – is Industry’s first fully integrated subsea production system rated up to 20,000psi.

Oceaneering noted that a part of the order has already been delivered to OneSubsea.
According to Oceaneering, Anchor is the first 20,000 psi-rated field to be developed in the deepwaters of Gulf of Mexico.
