Marine geophysical services company Shearwater GeoServices has secured a deal for large three-dimensional (3D) seismic acquisition and depth processing.
Shearwater noted that the work scope is in the Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME) region.

The project will start in the fourth quarter of this year.
The contract has been provided by an undisclosed national oil company. The completion of the survey is expected to take six months.
Financial details of the contract have not been disclosed.
Shearwater recently secured a large towed streamer 3D seismic survey for Block 52 offshore Suriname from Malaysian oil and gas company Petronas.
Headquartered in Norway’s Bergen, Shearwater is jointly owned by RASMUSSENGRUPPEN, GC Rieber Shipping, Schlumberger and Eidesvik Offshore.
In May, Shearwater GeoServices secured a contract from hydrocarbon exploration firm Apache to provide a 4D seismic survey with a 3D extension over the Forties Field in the UK North Sea.
In August 2019, Shearwater began a 3D seismic survey over the Pensacola Prospect on Licence P2252 in the Southern North Sea.
