Ezra’s subsea services division EMAS AMC has secured a contract with BHP Billiton for the Angostura phase 3 development offshore Trinidad and Tobago.

Under the contract, the company will provide services that include project management, fabrication, construction and installation of a 12in flowline.

The work also includes a complete subsea package, consisting of control umbilicals, as well as detailed engineering, construction and installation of the pipeline end manifold (PLEM) and inline sled (ILS) for the development.

"Offshore execution will take place using the Lewek Express subsea construction and reel lay vessel, and is currently scheduled for mid-2016."

According to EMAS, the Angostura phase 3 development is located 35km north-east of Trinidad and Tobago in the eastern Trinidadian sector of the Venezuela basin.

At present, EMAS’s Houston office is providing engineering and procurement services.

Fabrication of the subsea structures, as well as stalking and spooling of flowlines are to be performed at EMAS Marine Base facility in Ingleside, Texas.
