GLJ and Energy Fuse have announced a new JV to spearhead US carbon sequestration and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) projects.
This collaboration combines their extensive expertise in engineering, geosciences and project management to support carbon storage solutions in line with state and federal regulations.
The strategic partnership is set against the backdrop of a growing emphasis on CCS as a means to combat climate change.
The JV’s formation is a response to the US initiative to incorporate carbon sequestration into legal frameworks at the state level.
GLJ’s reputation for innovative resource evaluation and emissions management complements Energy Fuse’s decades of geoscience and engineering experience. Their combined technical capabilities are expected to offer comprehensive support to states and industries transitioning to carbon storage solutions.
GLJ executive vice-president and chief financial officer Alan Withey said: “We believe this joint venture is well-positioned to provide the highest calibre of intelligence to the US carbon sequestration market.
