Top oilfield services company SLB is halting products and technology shipments into Russia in response to an expansion of sanctions from Western nations in the wake of Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.
The shipments to Russia will be halted from all of SLB’s global operations.
Earlier, SLB imposed a ban of shipments into Russia from the US, UK, EU and Canada.
The oil services and equipment provider said it took voluntary measures to reduce its activities in Russia since March 2022.
SLB also said it would not make new investments in Russia and will halt deployment of new technology used in its services business.
In a press statement, the company said: “Since that time, the company has continued to commit significant resources to ensure it meets and exceeds the various international laws.
