Aker Solutions has secured a contract from ExxonMobil to deliver subsea umbilicals for the Uaru project in the Stabroek Block offshore Guyana.
Under the contract, the Norwegian engineering company will deliver three dynamic and seven static umbilicals totalling 52km.
The company notes that project execution, engineering and manufacturing will take place at its facility in Mobile, Alabama, US, with delivery planned for the first quarter of 2026.
Aker Solutions subsea business head Maria Peralta said: “We are excited by the award of the Uaru umbilical system, and to continue our relationship with ExxonMobil in Guyana, following the previous awards of the Payara and Yellowtail umbilical.”
The company reported the contract as “sizeable”, which means it could range between $46m (NKr500.65m) and $138m.
Part of ExxonMobil Guyana’s Stabroek project, the Uaru field is expected to add around 250,000 barrels of oil per day after its targeted start-up in 2026.
