Denver-Julesburg (DJ) Shale witnessed a decrease of 1.06% in total oil and gas production to 9,44,254.52 boe/d in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.
The oil and gas production in Denver-Julesburg (DJ) grew 3.99% in February 2022 from 9,08,009.32 boe/d in February 2021. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in the play increased by 3.42% from the same period in 2021.
In Denver-Julesburg (DJ), oil production declined 1.46% in February 2022 as compared with the previous month, while gas production decreased by 0.71% to 2,928.04 mmcf/d.
On a YTD basis, oil production in the play increased by 7.89% in 2022 when compared with the same period in 2021, while gas production declined by 0.2%. Out of the total oil and gas production in February 2022, oil held a 46.54% share, while gas had a 53.46% share.
In Denver-Julesburg (DJ), Occidental Petroleum emerged as the largest oil and gas producer, recording a total oil and gas production at 2,00,749.24 boe/d in February 2022, a decrease of 0.95% from the previous month. The company held a 17.12% share in oil production and 24.86% share in gas production in February 2022.
On a YTD basis, the company registered a 2.98% decrease in total oil and gas production from the same period in 2021.
Compared with other counties within Denver-Julesburg (DJ) Shale, Weld county recorded the highest oil and gas production, holding an 85.67% share in February 2022. The county witnessed a 1.39% decrease in production to 8,08,944.22 boe/d in February 2022 when compared with the previous month.
On a YTD basis, it registered an increase of 1.95% in total production from the same period in 2021.
