The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 23.19% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s oil & gas industry during May 2022 over April 2022.
Shell posted 23 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a drop of 52.08% over the previous month, followed by LyondellBasell Industries with 9 jobs and a 25% drop. BP with 7 IT jobs and Baker Hughes with 7 jobs, recorded a 133.33% growth and a 40% growth, respectively, while Koch Industries recorded an increase of 600% with 7 job postings during May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.42%, down by 4.92% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.72% share, registered a decline of 30% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.86% share, up 133.33% over April 2022.
