Netherlands oil & gas industry registered a flat growth in IT hiring activity in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 0.76% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.

Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.97% share in April 2022, recording a decrease of 0.07% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Netherlands oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 102.94% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Netherlands oil & gas industry in April 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 52.94% in April 2022, registering a 50% growth over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 23.53% share, an increase of 100% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 14.71%, registering a 66.67% rise from March 2022.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 5.88% growth over the previous month.

Top five oil & gas companies in Netherlands IT recruitment activity in April 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 52.63% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Netherlands oil & gas industry during April 2022 over March 2022.

Shell posted 11 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 450% over the previous month, followed by Akzo Nobel with 8 jobs and a flat growth. LyondellBasell Industries with 4 IT jobs and SBM Offshore with 4 jobs, recorded a 42.86% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Yara International recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during April 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.35%, up by 64.71% from March 2022. Entry Level positions with an 8.82% share, registered a decline of 40% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 5.88% share, flat growth over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2.94%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
