The midstream segment contracts in Africa registered a decrease of 60% with two contracts in March 2022, when compared with the previous month’s total of five contracts, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

A total of two contracts were registered in the midstream segment of Africa during the month, when compared with the last 12-month moving average of five contracts.


In terms of the number of contracts in Africa, the upstream segment contributed the most with 13 contracts in March 2022, followed by downstream and midstream segments with two contracts each.

In March 2022, Algeria and Egypt led the activity with one contract and a 50% share each of the midstream oil and gas contracts in Africa.
